Hi, I'm Peter Kyriakou, a registered building practitioner and trusted industry expert, based here in Melbourne. I have 20+ years of genuine local experience in construction and building dispute matters.
Growing up tinkering on house building sites sparked my passion for carpentry, construction and honest hard work. Today, I help my clients navigate their building issues or disputes with comprehensive inspections, clear, actionable court-ready reports that are easy to read and cut through all the noise.
And I've seen it all (mostly). From structural failures, failed balcony waterproofing, combustible cladding, leaking basements — I thrive on identifying the underlying causes and developing solutions.
When I'm not consulting, you'll find me with my wife and two sons hiking around the Dandenong ranges, or at our local soccer club or holidaying along Henley Beach.

Our fees are time estimated, based on $300 per hour.
We are neither the most expensive nor the cheapest building consultants. But we’re responsive and produce clear, actionable reports.
In most instances, we provide our clients with a fixed fee pricing, unless it’s more appropriate to provide just a time fee estimate. Regardless, our quotes are transparent and have no hidden costs.

Great question. It’s mostly determined by the age of your building.
If your house is less than 10 years old, than you have an opportunity to address this with the builder.
If your builder is insolvent, has died or cannot be found, you may have an opportunity to claim against your domestic building insurance policy within 6 years of the time the house was completed.
